Modern Power for Your 4th Gen Cargo Area

When the 4th Gen 4Runner was built, a single 12V outlet in the cargo area was plenty. Today that same spot has to run a fridge, top off phones and tablets, and keep up with camp gear. The TEQ Offroad Cargo Power Panel turns it into two capped 12V sockets, a 45W USB-C PD port, a QC3.0 USB-A port, a volt meter, three lighted switches (a master and two extras) for your accessories, all in a machined billet aluminum housing.

Installation stays simple: the panel plugs into the factory rear outlet connector with a plug-and-play connector and clips into the factory opening by hand in under 2 minutes, with no tools and no wiring. Running another brand's rear panel already? The Billet Housing Only kit moves your existing components into billet aluminum. Every panel is backed by a lifetime warranty.

  • Two capped 12V sockets in place of the single factory outlet
  • 45W USB-C PD and QC3.0 USB-A charging
  • 3 lighted switches: 1 master plus 2 extra for your accessories
  • Clips in by hand in under 2 minutes, no tools
  • Backed by a lifetime warranty

Built for the Trail

Design Details Behind the 4th Gen Cargo Power Panel

Machined billet, twin 12V sockets, modern USB charging and a volt meter, built to drop into the factory spot.

Machined, Not Molded

CNC-machined from solid billet aluminum instead of 3D-printed plastic, then anodized black. A rigid housing made to put up with trail vibration, gear sliding in and out, and hot days in the back of the truck.

Clips In, Stays Put

A snap fit locks the panel into the factory opening by hand. It sits flush and stays put on washboard roads and rocky trails.

Factory Plug, Zero Splicing

A plug-and-play connector mates with the factory rear outlet plug. No wire taps, no loose spade terminals, and nothing to change at the fuse box.

4th Gen 4Runner Cargo Power Panel Questions

Fitment
Which 4Runners does it fit?
Every 2003 - 2009 Toyota 4Runner (4th Gen), all trims. It mounts where the factory rear power panel sits in the cargo area and connects to the factory rear outlet connector.
How many 12V sockets will I have?
Two. The factory panel has a single 12V outlet, and the TEQ panel replaces it with two capped 12V sockets, so a fridge and another 12V device can both stay plugged in.
Power
Will the USB-C port charge a laptop?
The USB-C port supports Power Delivery up to 45W, which fast-charges current phones and tablets and many laptops that charge over USB-C. The second port is a Quick Charge 3.0 USB-A for older cables and devices.
Does it have power with the truck off?
As it comes, the panel gets power the same way your factory rear outlet does, and nothing on your 4Runner is modified. A TEQ key-off kit is coming soon. If you don't want to wait, 4th Gen owners have documented a do-it-yourself method in this forum write-up. That mod is done at your own risk and also changes your other factory 12V outlets, and leaving a fridge or other heavy load running with the truck off can drain your starting battery.
Kits & Install
Fully Assembled or Billet Housing Only: which kit do I need?
Choose Fully Assembled if you want the complete panel with the 12V sockets, USB ports, switches and volt meter already installed and ready to plug in. Choose Billet Housing Only if you already have another brand's rear panel and want to move its components into billet aluminum.
Do I need to run new wires from the battery?
No. It's plug and play. The panel runs off the factory wiring already in your 4th Gen's cargo area and connects to the stock rear outlet connector, so no new wires to the battery are needed.
Is the install hard?
Not at all. The Fully Assembled panel plugs into the factory connector and clips in by hand in under 2 minutes. No tools are needed, and installation instructions are included.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every TEQ Offroad Cargo Power Panel is backed by a lifetime warranty.
