Description

A 1995–2004 Tacoma center console has two flat sides and a top that usually go unused. This TEQ Offroad system covers them with MOLLE grid: a panel for each side of the console and an accessory bridge across the top, pre-drilled for an Auxbeam switch panel.

It installs without drilling. The panels reuse factory mounting points and tie into the metal frame behind the dash, so a loaded pouch stays put on rough roads.

Pick your console type

Flat (no cup holder on the side): driver panel, passenger panel, and the accessory bridge.
Cup holder on the passenger side: driver panel plus a special bridge that ties into a factory location. The passenger panel is left out because the cup holder sits where it would go.

A Console System Made for the 1st Gen Tacoma

TEQ Offroad already made a center console MOLLE system for the 3rd gen 4Runner. The Tacoma console has its own shape and comes with or without a passenger-side cup holder, so it got a design of its own: side-specific panels, a bridge, and two versions to match the two consoles.

Like the rest of the lineup, it was drawn in-house by founder Dmitriy, and the design is patent pending.

Design Details Inside the 1st Gen Tacoma Console

Two console layouts and one goal: a mount that does not rattle loose.

Two Console Versions

Some 1st gen Tacomas have a cup holder on the passenger side of the console. Order that version and you get a bridge that ties into a factory point instead of a passenger panel that would collide with the cup holder.

Tied Into the Dash Frame

Instead of hanging on console plastic alone, the system ties into the metal frame behind the dash. That is what keeps a full pouch or a switch panel from flexing.

Aluminum That Will Not Rust

The panels are 1/8" 5052 aluminum, laser cut, CNC bent, and finished in textured black powder coat. A scratch through the coating does not start rust.

Ordering

How do I know which console type I have?

Look at the passenger side of your center console. If a cup holder is built into it, choose "Cup Holder On the Passenger Side." If that side is flat, choose "Flat."

Which switch panel does the bridge accept?

The bridge is pre-drilled for a 6-gang Auxbeam control panel, and the holes allow some adjustment.

Fitment

Does it fit a manual or 2WD Tacoma?

It has not been tested on manual-transmission or 2WD trucks yet, so fit on those trucks is still unknown.

Installing

Do I have to drill anything?

No. It reuses factory mounting locations, and the screws, spacers, hex bolts, and nylon lock nuts come in the box.

Using it

What can I mount on the grid?

Standard MOLLE pouches, flashlights, radios, tools, and most banana-style holsters.
